The process of vacuum forming
Plastic Sheet Roll
A large roll of rigid plastic sheet (PVC or other food-grade plastic substrate) feeds continuous flat sheet material into the production line.
Heated Plastic Sheet
The plastic sheet is transported forward and clamped horizontally. Infrared heat sources (red wavy lines above) heat the sheet evenly to soften it, making the plastic flexible and stretchable for forming.
Positive Mould
A raised convex mould sits underneath the heated sheet; its shape matches the inner contour of the final blister packaging product.
